Job description

Responsibilities:

– Supervise and manage a classroom of students in the absence of the regular teacher

– Provide support and guidance to students, including mentoring and tutoring as needed

– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

– Follow the lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and ensure that learning objectives are met

– Manage student behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies

– Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting any issues to the appropriate staff members

Qualifications:

– Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred

– Experience working with students, particularly those with autism or special needs, is highly desirable

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents

– Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and strategies based on individual student needs

– Knowledge of creative writing techniques and the ability to incorporate them into lesson plans is a plus

– Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected situations or changes in schedule

Salary: £80.00-£110.00 per day

• Lewisham, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• QTS (preferred)
