About the role
Are you highly motivated and a driven Cover Supervisor?
Engage Education is currently looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a school in Guildford, starting as soon as possible. This is a full time, long term role.
As a Cover Supervisor your job will be supporting and delivering lessons across Key Stage 3/4 in the absence of their regular class teacher. This position will also give you the opportunity to experience covering multiple subjects.
The ideal candidate will have experience both within delivering and supporting secondary subjects, especially core subjects. The school benefits you will gain valuable experience in a new and exciting environment and be part of a dedicated team of staff.
You will receive training provided by the school and Engage Education, and will be a part of a close and dynamic team. This role has very little planning and marking. The school is supportive and accessible by public transport. They focus on ensuring that students are taught a broad and balanced curriculum as well as ensuring that they leave with an array of skills to help them in their adult lives.
- Experience working with students aged 11-16
- Confident managing behaviour
- An ability to build rapport with students
- Have a fun but firm presence
- An interest in education
We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students with challenging behaviour will be an advantage. This role could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
