Cover Supervisor – Greenwich | September 2026 Start | Full-Time

Engage Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors for a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Greenwich for September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to develop their classroom skills.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
• Support students in completing the work set by teaching staff.
• Maintain a positive, safe and productive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff across a range of subjects.
• Report back to teachers on student progress and behaviour following each lesson.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with young people in a school, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or youth work setting.
• Are confident leading groups and managing behaviour positively.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Are adaptable, resilient, and able to think on their feet.
• Are considering a future career in teaching or education (desirable but not essential).
