Job Title: Cover Teacher – Secondary School

Location:Huddersfield, HD3

Pay: £90 – £110 per day

Working Hours: 08:00 – 15:30

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position is on a long-term basis, and successful candidates will need to be consistently arriving for 8am to the school to set-up for the day. Your role includes implementing pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused on their work.

• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

• Provide support and guidance to students during the absence of the regular teacher.

• Confidence: Ability to confidently lead a classroom and deliver effective lessons.

• Time Management: Efficiently plan and utilise time to cover a range of subjects.

• Communication: Clear and effective communication with students and staff.
