Cover Supervisor – Havant

At Engage Education, we’re partnering with a school in Havant to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor to join their team and contribute to improving the attainment of all pupils. About the Role

You will be responsible for leading lessons and providing cover in the absence of class teachers across various subjects at a school in Havant. The role is set to start as soon as possible, with comprehensive training provided by both the school and Engage Education.

This position involves minimal planning and marking. The school is supportive, accessible via public transport, and committed to delivering a balanced curriculum that equips students with essential skills for the future.

About You

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with students aged 11-16.

• Are flexible and comfortable covering different subjects.

• Are confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively.

• Have strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students.

• Maintain a professional yet approachable teaching style.

• Are passionate about education and student development.

Applications are welcome from candidates with all levels of experience. While experience with students who exhibit challenging behaviour is advantageous, it is not essential. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience in roles such as Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
