Cover Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a large secondary school in the Borough of Bromley. This role is ideal for someone considering a career in teaching or an individual with previous experience working with young people in a school, youth or mentoring capacity.

The school serves a diverse and culturally rich community. It requires a strong presence in the classroom and a consistent approach to behaviour management. The environment can be challenging at times, therefore the successful candidate must be calm under pressure, firm but fair, and confident leading a class independently.

The Role

• Supervising whole classes during the short term absence of teaching staff

• Delivering pre set work and ensuring students remain on task

• Managing behaviour in line with the school’s policies

• Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and conduct

• Promoting a positive and respectful learning environment
