Cover Supervisor – Waterlooville

At Engage Education, we’re working with a school in Waterlooville to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor who can join the team in their mission to improve the attainment of all pupils. About the Role

You will be responsible for leading lessons and providing cover in the absence of class teachers across a variety of subjects at a school in Waterlooville. The role is set to begin as soon as possible. You will receive comprehensive training provided by both the school and Engage Education, and you’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

This position involves minimal planning and marking. The school is well-supported and accessible via public transport. It focuses on providing students with a balanced and engaging curriculum while equipping them with the skills they need for life beyond education.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience working with students aged 11-16.

• Are flexible and comfortable teaching different subjects as needed.

• Are confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively.

• Have the ability to build rapport with students.

• Maintain a professional but approachable teaching style.

• Are enthusiastic about education and committed to student success.

We welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience. Previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or experienced Cover Supervisors, as well as those with experience as Youth Workers or Behaviour Mentors.
