Complex Needs Teacher – Special Needs School – Southwark

We are working with a SEND school in Southwark, that caters to students with Autism, trauma, and extreme Anxiety.

This school is seeking a dynamic SEN specialist teacher to work with students with various challenges.

Details:

• Long term interim SEND cover role (however this role is very likely to transition to a permanent position)
• September 2023 Start – July 2024
• M1 – M5 pay scales on offer
• QTS and QTLS

It is vital that as a SEN Teacher, that you are able to not only support these pupils emotionally and academically but their well-being as a whole.

Teaching duties can include:

• Working with small groups of pupils with Autism, Social and Emotional difficulties, and other complex needs
• Experience of working with children/young people with Disabilities and or Mental Health needs is essential
• Knowledge of behavioural support and intervention would be ideal!
• Potentially be Team-teach trained
• Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
• It is important that the right candidate has an empathetic attitude and genuine care for students with Learning Disabilities
