We are working with a secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey that is seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, and who can build strong, positive relationships to help students re-engage with learning.

The Role:

  • Providing one to one and small group behaviour support to students

  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and positive decision-making

  • Acting as a consistent, trusted adult and positive role model within the school

  • Supporting behaviour strategies in classrooms and around the school

  • Helping students reflect on behaviour, understand consequences, and set clear expectations

  • Working closely with pastoral staff, SEN teams, and teaching staff to support individual behaviour plans

  • Supporting students who may be at risk of disengagement, exclusion, or poor attendance

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with young people with challenging behaviour, either in schools, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings

  • Is calm, patient, and professional, particularly in high pressure situations

  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Is confident setting boundaries while maintaining positive relationships

  • Is committed to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for young people
