Hala Sherif
I am a graduate SEND consultant working with SEND schools and resources based in East London. I recently graduated from the University of Portsmouth after completing a bachelor’s in politics and international relations as well as a master’s in Law. I have a lot of previous experience in sales having worked at Bicester Village shopping outlet. My time in Bicester Village meant I could work in an environment that was hard-working and fast-paced but also very rewarding from the types of people I was able to work with and meet on a daily basis.
I was really inspired to go into the SEND schools sector after seeing the impact my friend has had being a SENCO for her schools and seeing how important it is to support inclusion, especially from a young age. It is crucial to find teachers and support workers that have the resilience and patience to work with pupils with learning difficulties to support them and know they are not alone and I am very excited and grateful to be a part of that in finding those right candidates for schools.
Having been a rower when I was younger really shaped me into the disciplined, hard-working and resilient person I am today and knowing to put 100% into everything I do to get the best reward possible. I am also a big foodie, I love trying new cuisines as well as perfecting my own culture’s cuisines and recipes.
