If you’ve read our blog on managing stress as a teacher, you might be wondering how your agency can help you manage the stress you feel as a teacher. This Stress Awareness Month, let us help you remove the stress from your career.
Sometimes it’s useful to get some outside help with managing stress, and at Engage, we’re here to help you in every aspect of your professional work and development. From ensuring you have a sustainable work/life balance, to helping you progress in your career, we help your journey as a teacher to be as stress-free as possible.
We know that a prepared teacher is a relaxed teacher, and our CPD events are organised around the topics which will be most helpful to our teachers.
Previous topics covered include:
Our CPD events are completely free to attend for all teachers, so you can even bring your colleagues along with you.
For teachers working supply, an added stress can come from knowing when and where your next paycheck is coming from. With our Secure Guaranteed Pay contracts, we can make sure you get paid every week, even when we haven’t been able to secure work for you. When you work with us on an SGP contract, you can put aside your financial worries and get back to planning your life.
Our Teaching & Learning Partnership team is made up of former SLT-level teachers who can liaise with you and the school you work for in pinpointing any areas where you could improve in your career, and then deliver the training to do so! These tailored CPD opportunities remove any uncertainty of your performance with your school and ensure that you are delivering the best possible lessons.
With teachers reporting such high levels of work-related stress, we know that not everything can be solved alone. The Education Support Partnership is the UK’s only charity providing mental health and wellbeing support services to education staff, and can provide 24/7 BACP-accredited counselling when you need it through their helpline, email, and livechat services.
We have partnered with the Education Support Partnership to provide all of our teachers with access to their Employee Assistance Programme which offers a full range of additional services, including face-to-face counselling, access to online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and financial and legal advice.
Sometimes, the easiest way to reduce stress is to have a good time! To help you meet other like-minded teacher friends, we frequently organise fun local social events with all of our teachers. Our Community & Wellbeing team is always on hand to ensure you have a great work/life balance.
To help you make the most of your school holidays, Engage has partnered with STA Travel – experts in adventure holidays and tours. With Europe right on your doorstep, you can travel to numerous exciting destinations to relax over the break and come back to your classroom well-rested and ready to inspire your students with your new worldly experience!
If you’d like to join our pool of happy teachers, you can register with Engage Education, or just get in touch for a chat. One of our consultants will be happy to talk to you about your needs and give you more information on what it’s like to be an Engage teacher.
