We are pleased to present the results of our Candidate Experience survey, which we carry out at the end of every half-term. We want to know how candidates find working with Engage and what we can do to make the experience as rewarding and efficient as possible. We also want to make sure we are delivering the very best service and supporting our candidates in their new roles. We think it’s fair to say we’re pleased with the results – it’s great to know that even through a global pandemic, we’re able to deliver a fantastic service and continually improve our candidate’s experience.
Now, on to the results!
For teachers and support staff, the return to school in September meant a completely new set of routines and rules, as well as an increased need for additional cleaning and supply staff. There’s a huge amount of information for education professionals out there – we’ve done everything we can to make sure our candidates feel comfortable going into schools. We’ve closely followed Department Of Education guidance, from turning the majority of our recruitment process virtual to providing detailed re-entry advice for teachers and supply staff attending bookings in our partner schools.
90% of candidates that have worked with us recently said they felt we have supported them at the beginning of their placements and beyond. We’re always working to improve how we support our candidates, whether that’s by launching new support partnerships and continuing to develop our CPD and wellbeing offerings. We’re really proud of our benefits package which helps support candidates at every stage in their journey with us – read about all the reasons to join Engage here!
We received some fantastic feedback in the comments section of the survey – it was great to see so many Engage consultants mentioned by name because the service they provided stood out!

The education sector has changed rapidly over the last few months and we’ve worked really hard to share the latest information from the Department of Education. If you haven’t already, sign up for our newsletter here.
A huge thank you to every one of our candidates who took the survey – keep an eye out for the next one in a few months time.
